Term 1 kiwi can overview.

LI.to recap  everything we did in kiwi can.



today in kiwi can we recapped all of  our learning  from term 1.
our big theme was positive relationships.
our 3 modules were -positive communication
                                 -friendship
                                 -cooperation
we made 3 groups.each group talked about
the 5 w's $ H for 1 module.
After  we talked as a group, each group  shared their
ideas  back to the class.
 Reflection:   1 thing  you enjoy  this term.i have enjoy kiwi can and the kiwi can teacher .
       1 thing you learnt.i have learnt about friendship and positive relationship, cooperation and positive communications.
 1 thing you need to be better at. what i have to be better at is to be good, respect.

poetry




  • Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing feeling to people. 

  • Poetry can include sound patterns. They are rhyme and rhythm. Rhyming is repeating sounds 

  • There are four kinds of rhyme: Consonance, End rhyme, Alliterating and assonance. 

  • consonants rhyme is when a letter sound is repeated.
  • end rhyme is a sound that is repeated at the end of each line.
  • alliterating is a beginning of a repeated word.
  • assonance is a vowel sounds that are  repeated  in each word

L1.To build positive Relationship.


Today in kiwi can we were learning about friendship we learnt that there are
times we can say No!
we talked about situations were it is ok  to say No!
we discussed different way to say No that don't cause  disrespect.
we did a activity called empathy rote play.
A group acted out a situations  and as a class
we needed to decide the way  to say no!



our potions were,


 -No thanks!
-Lets do something else  instead.
-It just  not  my thing.
-that not a nice thing to do.

kiwi can - Term 1 - Week 5

Today we learnt about praise at kiwi can it the links with our theme of Positive relationships and our topic of Positive communication
As a group developed a shared understanding about what Praise is. Praise is being grateful, cheering on, high fives or certificates.

We played a game of hand soccer, and when we were playing it we needed to give as much praise as we could.

Ki O Rahi


LI: To learn the areas of the field for the game Ki O Rahi.

This week for Ki O Rahi we were learning the field areas for Ki O Rahi. We had to try remember each area which relate to the legend of rahi.

Field Areas: 

1. Tupu, This is the rock that Rahi was resting at to keep him warm.
2. Pawero, That is the island that Rahi landed in.
3. Te Ara, Is the ice bridge that rahi's father did for him to escape.
4.Te Roto, This is the river that surrounded Pawero
5. Te Au, Is the land surrounding the river.
6. Po, The seven teeth the taniwha threw at Rahi.
