kiwican/T4W3

LI.To work as a team work.


This week for kiwi can we were learning how to work as a team.
For our topic was [Respect],we where talking about respect and working as a tea.For our enigizer was like the teacher will have a paper that the leaders have tell there group what they have read and in the groups there will be 4 groups and four leaders in each groups.And the groups had to line up so each one of the person that be-hide the leader gose next then tell the group what they have read to and then the other person can go after.
Before we did our activity we talked about strength then we did our activity after talking about strength.For our activity the game that we played was called human not, what we had to do was we had to have two big groups and groups had to make a circle and hold somebody's hand from across the circle so that every body can be tangled but everybody has to be back in the circle by getting untangle by not letting the person hands go.After we played the game human not game we talked about how we feel playing then we did our GKQ

this week for kiwisport we learnt how to play tennis for our kiwisport.
Warm up-
In pairs one person dropped a ball the other tried to catch it.This Warmed up our racetime.
Activity-
Learning the forehand and backhead technique.forehand one hand at the botton of the racket.This is our dominate hard.
Backhand two hands of the racket dominate hand stays on the botton other hand hold above the botton hand

SSR selfie/T4W1


LI.To summarise and retell a text.



Today i was doing SSR SELFIE with a book called [The Apple Tree].
I had to answer the question like what was my book title and the author the the illustrator or photograph.
Then after that i had to see if it was fiction or non-fiction and the book was fiction.
After that i had to answer the fiction question then when i finished i have to add my picture.

This week we went to kiwi can,our kiwi can teachers where [Mr Samanoa and Mr joe   
Our theme for kiwi can was [respect] but we had no topic for this term.
And for this trem catch phrase was like/kiwi can says,R E, S P, E C, T and found out what it means to me,that was our catch phrase for this term.
For our engizer we did this game called banana,apple,orange,what we had to do was if the kiwi can teacher says apple jump forwards if the teacher says orange jump backwards after that if the teacher says banana you have to turn 80 degrees looking at the other side of the wall.
And then before we did our activity we talked about how to show respect and treat people how you want to be treated and after we talked about respect we move on to our activity,
and for our activity our game was called lie and truth and how to play that game was you have to say something like a lie and you have to say something like a truth,we had to pick what side we should go to,to see if the thing you said was truth or a lie.
Then after our activity we talked about what each person went up and said something about a lie and a truth.

LI:To find as many similarities and differences as we can between NZ and Japan

In this task I had to find out as many similarities and differences as we can between NZ and Japan. One fact that really interested me was that Japan's population is 126.8 million because New Zealand's population is only 4.794 million which means New Zealand is really small compered to Japan. I also had to find out at lest three things that are the same about Japan and New Zealand. One similarities I learnt was that New Zealand has a top tax rate of 33.0% but Japan has a top tax rate of 56.0%.

LI.To find 5 places you would want to visit in japan.

This task is called places to visit in Japan, I had to find facts about Mt Fuji and give reasons of why I want to visit Mt Fuji. Two fact that I learnt was that Mt Fuji is actually a stratovolcano and it's the tallest mountain in Japan and also one of my reasons were,"I want to visit Mt Fuji because it’s a snow mountain and I haven’t played in snow for a long time."

Swimming/water safety/skills/T3W10

LI.To learn special water safety skills.

This week was the last week for swimming.
What we did for swimming was to put a life jacket on and what we did in the pool
was we had to get in a chain which it was like you have to lay down then put your hands on the back of the persons life jacket and then wiggle your legs around so the chain can move.
After we did the chain we learnt how to do the huggle it was like you have to put your arms around the person back because if they drown you would have to put your arms around the person back to pull them up in from the water.
And we had to have a race to the front and then come back swimming on your back.Then there's two last thing we did was the frist one was we had to put our left hand on our head and put your other hand on the left on the life jacket and then we have to take a big step in the water and after that we did this other thing that was we had to jump of and try and high five our swimming teacher which was Mrs Livvy.

In this tasks,i had to match the players to their position.I also had to put more information about the players like [Richie Mccaw t-shirt number is 11].This made my table inserting.The last thing i had to do was to put the picture of the player next to their name.







Rube Goldberg/T3W10

LI.To apply knowledge of simple machines create a Rube Goldberg  

We did our Rube Goldberg machines. Our challenge was the putter challenge. We had to push cars into a marble. The marble rolls down on a Incline Plain. Then the marbles hit the Dominoes and the last domino has a pin. The pin will pop the water balloon the one of us hits the golf ball with a putter into a cup. We used Marbles, Putter, Dominoes, Golf ball, Pins, Balloon. String, ruler and water. The simple machines we used was the Incline plain, Wedge, Pulley, Lever. The dominoes were challenging to go through because every time the marble goes down the ruler the marble only hits some of the dominoes but not all of it. I would change the dominoes with a card board track instead. So the marble will roll smoothly on the card board into the last domino with the pins on it.

This week me and my group made this slide.
This slide we were doing was called [Rugby Events],we had to pick the years that the all blacks won the rugby world cup.  
In the text boxes there was events called day,events and Memories.
We had to add pictures to the boxes after we did the events.

We completed a slide called [World time] and there was 8 different rugby teams in this slide.We had to search up if the rugby teams were playing west or east and after that we have to pick one city from the east or west. After that we had to search up what time will it be in countries.

For basic facts i did a challenge.
And the was to put a timer on and try to finished my 
subtraction and i did my subtraction up to 5.
And my timer was 6minute and 47seconds and i did it on speed demon.

For maths we had to make our own google drawing.
We had to use tables boxes,and it had to be 6x6 then after you do that
you have to put 2 or 5 bombs in the tables boxes but i did 2.
Then after that i had to use scribble to use it as a line to draw it in the boxes.

for swimming me and my group were doing Freestyle laps and Backstroke then
before we went and got changed there had to be three people in the line and then they had to have a race so all of us had races.
And that was for swimming and our swimming teacher was [Maddee's group]

LI.to apply the print design rules.

For cybersmart for this past term we have been learning about the 6 simple machines the human kinds has made. The humans used these types of machines because it was easier for them to do stuff. The 6 simple machines are Screws, Wheel and axle, incline plane, wedge, pulley & lever. This week we are now remaking a DLO on one of these machines. I have decided to make a poster about the machine screw.

We have also learned the print design rules. Layout, Text, Colour and composition.

We did a bus stop for our Activity.we had to explain the challenges in the pictures.

LI.to learn about things that are challenge for you.



Today kiwi can we did some challenges.
Our topic was resilience and our theme was challenge.
 For our activity we played 
this game called [jump in and jump out look up and look down 
turn around and touch the ground] that was for our activity.
For our energizer we did this art thing which we had to make a plan on a paper making a cross or a plus and the class had to get in to 3 groups, but our kiwi can teacher [mrs mac] gave us clues with a paper.And that we did for kiwi can but our points we made it up to 45 points and that how much all together for our respect and another good things we did and that what we did for kiwi can.

And for today kiwi can it was fun and i was happy and thats what i felt like at kiwi can.

For SSR- seflie i had to read my book for 15 minutes and well reading my book
i had to keep three facts in my head and also i had to keep three things of what happened in the story in my head is well.

For this week for maths we had to measure the shapes,and the frist one we did easier was the square.
Then we had to do our perimeter which was [5+6+5+6=22cm] and the Area which was
[A=5x6=30cm] then we had to do the answer.
And thats what we had to do for all the shapes but the harder shapes were quiet hard.

For this week for reading we were doing Main ideas bank.
We had to make a sentence with the key words that we have put in the boxes
and we had to read the book to find key words.
And my book was called morning bath.

Maths/T3W5



LI.To learn to build a perimeter and area.

For this week for maths week 3 and week 5 we learnt how to build a perimeter and area.
So we had to this on google slides so i did it on goggle slides and we had to use tables, and before
 that we had to count each square to make sure the tob is 4 and the sides are 4 and to make sure we are writeing on the line.
Then we had to do our perimeter which was P=4+4+4+4=16cm
and we have to answer it with a answer like 16cm but our area was
A=4x4=16cm.
That what we had to do for each shapes on the slides.

But some people did it with paper scissors and maths book sheet.
They had to cut the shapes like my shapes and they have to make sure they write it on the lines 
and make sure they count the square if it right or not.

LI.To learn about Reliance.




At kiwi can we were doing four Activity.Our topic was Reliance and for our theme self-control
and self - control discipline.
For ativity we did this challenge's,we had to be in each group and we had to do what it said on the paper
and we had to do excises like,5x push ups,squats and we had to that for a 1minute .
Then we had to do this next challenge which is writing the [abc] backwards from [z] we had to
do that for 1 minute.
and there was another challenge that was putting actions into our catch phrase for a minute.
 Then we had to put maori words and english words in colour in order but they have be the right colors but that was in a minute.

And for my feelings i was happy and joyful because it was a very a  challenge activity
which made it good and fun.

For this week i was doing my basic facts challenge. And also i did my basic facts up to 5.
And i went on speed demon.
Then i did a Multiplication and it took me four minutes and fifteen seconds to finish all
the equations.

For this week for cybersmart we did the slide called Print Design Rules and there were four words composition,composition,layout,colour,text.
We were using google slides to order and learnt to put good or bad print design rules.

LI.To learn about self - control discipline and out - control.


For this week kiwi can we were learning about self-control and out - control.
Our topic was [expressing emotions] and our theme was [self - control and  self - control discipline]
Frist our kiwi can teacher was [Latu] he was our teacher for the day.
We did our Activity and it was Rats and Rabbits.
Then we were in a circle talking about self - control and out - control, Latu was telling us
staffs [like if you were in a diet u would have eat heathy and
 if you were up in the middle of the night  and your parents were asleep
And there were donuts in the fringe and you were thinking [should i eat it or not]
but if he had one bite and he put back in the fringe that be good because he only took
one bite].And then we did our enigizer which we had to do acting it was like emotions
and my acting was stealing money from your teacher while the kids are eating.
Then we did our points and it was 47 but we almost did it.

LI.learning about water safety.



At swimming we learnt how to swim.
And our water safety teacher was [james].
We were learning streamline ,streamline and roll for breath then we did Rotate body on side for breath and our teacher james said to [Do not swing you head around!]
so it wont be hard for you to breath.
Then we were kicking on our backs then we did Breast stroke also survival stroke.
When we were gonna hop out james told us to go all the way to the deep side and swim back to the black poe and if you made it back to the black poe you swim 18m which is long and i have made it.

Yesterday we went to the Motat. I was with my group explored and our first thing we went to was the old village and my Favorited place at the old village was at the tele communication and there was old
phones and we were also using more codes and how using a dial phone.
then me and my group went to other places then we went back to the place we were eating our lunch
and after we ate our launch we did this activity which was how we were making a flash light work.Our  activity teachers that was teaching us, her name was kenzy and my other teacher was Emma she told us to make a electric Lego car to make the light to turn on but i don't know what it is called that modoer.
